Graduate Student Colloquium

All Northwestern graduate students working on dissertations or projects with an international and/or comparative focus are welcome to participate in this friendly, collegial, and constructive forum. We especially welcome new graduate students to the group. Each meeting, two graduate students present the findings of their research followed by dialogue and discussion.

Additionally, the Buffett Center sponsors a limited number of competitive Summer Research Grants (up to $2,500 each) for exploratory dissertation research. It also offers Conference Travel Awards. Regularly attendees of the Graduate Student Colloquium are given primary consideration for these awards. Past grant recipients are expected to actively participate in the colloquia.
